Cycling Gear:

  • Tuned Up Bicycle w/pump
  • Saddle Bag w/ Repair Kit (there will be support vehicles, but being self-sufficient can save time. You should have the tools and knowledge to change a tire. And if you do not have the knowledge, one of the cyclists will probably help you out)
  • Inner Tube
  • Extra Water Bottle
  • Helmet (MANDATORY)

Other stuff:

  • Rain jacket or windbreaker
  • Pack to carry extra stuff while riding
  • Camelbaks or other hydration packs
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Lip balm
  • Mobile phone
  • Identification
  • Money
  • Credit card
  • Casual clothes including sweatshirts – it can get cold at night
  • Bathing suit if you plan on going to the beach, taking a canoe trip or using the indoor swimming pool on campus
  • Shoes or sandals (some people like flip flops for showering)
  • Toiletry kit
  • Plastic trash bags
  • Camera
If you are staying in the dorms, washcloths, bath towels, small soaps and two sheets per bed will be provided.  You will need to bring your own pillows and blankets (dorms are air conditioned).
