Experience Charm City as never before!
Every year over one-thousand men, women and children converge on Baltimore’s
historic waterfront to participate in One Less Car’s annual Tour
du Port bicycle ride. The event, now in it’s 15th year,
is the primary fundraiser for One Less Car, Maryland’s only non-profit
dedicated to advancing alternatives to automobile use. . This year’s
ride begins at the Korean War Memorial in Canton Waterfront
Park (2903 Boston St. Baltimore MD 21224) ., just south of the historic
Canton neighborhood in the City’s Southeast section.
Besides being One Less Car’s main fundraiser, Tour
du Port is one of the city's premier recreational events. Baltimoreans
are joined by riders from across the East Coast. - Everybody knows that
there is no better way to spend a crisp autumn morning than on your bike
by the waterfront. Tour du Port riders get the opportunity to enjoy Baltimore's
Inner Harbor and it’s historic surrounding neighborhoods, all of
which offer a variety of fine dining, cultural experiences and exciting
nightlife. And this year the Tour will coincide with the 42nd Annual Fells
Point Festival. After the ride Tour participants can head off to the festival
(only 10 minutes away from Canton) and get an up-close and personal experience
of street performances, an international bazaar, and great food and live
music.
.
SO JOIN US OCTOBER 5th! Help One Less Car make a dent
